also if Natsu/Gajeel/Luxus were to kill some weaker dragons, they will get even more powerful and will be able to kill even more dragons. Just think of Natsu/Igneel or Gajeel/Metalicana fighting side by side after Gajeel and Natsu became more an more like dragons

I’m not making any progress with the name. There are times when I finish 20 pages in 2 hours, and there are also times when I can’t even get 1 page done in 10 hours.

It’s been a while since the last time my name was rejected entirely. I’m redoing all 20 pages. But since it’s for the sake of making an interesting story I won’t consider it all that troublesome.

Name here is basically a storyboard of a chapter.

To sum up Mashima’s chapter gets rejected ENTIRELY by the editors, and have to rewrite a new one again. This gives multiple meanings, like maybe he tried to kill someone off and the editors didn’t like this decision. This also means that now FT will go a different route compared to the planned note that has been released earlier (about Lucy kneeling before Zeref and such).

is it still following the "rule" about mashima being ahead 3 or 4 chapters and the fight which last for 1 chapter?

if yes for both then the rejected chapter tells after natsu's fight with F!Rogue and the eclipse starts to happen

if no, is it because mashima gave overkill fanservices? though it was okay with "Mirajane vs Jenny"

I don't know about overkill fanservice, it doesn't seem the right time for it. Maybe more about the quality of the plot and something happening to very liked characters

we know he can insert some fanservices inside even serious battle, that's mashima for you :P

the plot is the safest choice for now, let's wait for 3-4 weeks to find out

@About Mashima's chapter:
I don't think is about fanservice.Probably the plot and how he wanted to use a character...or he killed an actual character?

If he already had a plan in his head about how the story in this arc should continue and this chapter doesn't affect it much then it's good, but If it does and changes many things I wonder how the ''original'' story will continue and if he will change the whole story in the process.

Now why would the editors not let Mashima kill off some characters? It's his manga, not theirs(besides he's already killed off Hades, Simon, F!Lucy) I doubt they'd reject it for that, it would be silly

Because Editors are really in the position doing that.
Basically they give suggestions for changes in the name (manuscript) and yes even reject it. If they feel like the readers won't be satisfied with the chapter then they sure can do.
