lol, kinda extreme to reject a chapter for not having fanservice. I think that even Mashima doesn't mind having fanservice in his chapters so he probably puts it in because he enjoys it.

and by the way, you won't see the actual fanservice in a name since it's a rough sketch of the characters and what they will do/say in that chapter. So it's settled it's not about fanservice

Of course he does that.He even said something like that in his twitter some weeks ago.I don't have problem with the fanservice as long it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable as a female by reading a manga that it doesn't supposed to have a lot of fanservice.

IDK, I think the anime director's the one that added all of those flashbacks of when Natsu and Lisanna and Gildarts had their little adventures, but the editors the one that made Lisanna come back because he liked her...

If what you say is true, the editor must have his head stuck up his ass to think that spinning Fairy Tail in loops is a good thing. Something needs to change. How else are the characters supposed to grow?
And as for rejecting the chapter for lack of fan service.... *doesn't understand* THEY CAN DO THAT?

The characters wont grow as long as they have nakama power. tey will sayt he day, and life will live happyly on and they wont have to deal with difficulties of any sort of serious emotional trouble...and nakama power is a major theme here sooo.....

Could be so as well. It just wouldn't surprise me if he was being told what not to do. If he is the one making all these mistakes (in my opinion..) himself, then I share no sympathy for him when people lose interest. He'd be digging his own grave.
As for the nakama theme.. There can be a strongly set major theme built into a story without slapping the reader's face with the same dead fish every time the plot conflict appears to escalate. Not only has he nearly always used the exact same delivery, it's the only theme there is to the story. You can have more than one theme to make a good story.

I dont know...I mean, I tink he could do it in a better way too but....why keep doing it this way? I feel like there has to be aa reason to keep with the same thing but there doesnt seem to be one. and then he gives hope by bringin goodoportunities and then just nakama punches them away....

I don't think that's hating. You don't have to hate someone to want them killed off right? :B

Biggest impact would be Natsu or Lucy, but being the main characters it would probably kill the plot as well... Their absence would have to be able to move the plot along instead of stopping it in it's tracks. To be effective, they'd have to be a character that people care about too.

So I'd say anyone of these guys: Sting, Mirajane, Gray, Juvia, Erza, Levy, Gajeel, Yukino, Jellal.. and probably a few more.
If I had to choose one it would be Mira... She's loved by everyone (characters and readers alike) so it would certainly have an impact. :'D

You know wat, to have a big umpact, it would have to be someone in a ship. Like, half of Gruvia, Nalu, Gale, Jerza or Elfgreen.

Shipping al;ways affects people more.

I dunno, I feel at this point if anyone is getting the axe it will be Makarov or Yukino... For some reason I can see Yukino being killed doing something with the Eclipse Gate, she's kind of a floating character, no guild and I don't know how loyal she is to Arcadios anymore it would impact the story slightly but not drastically alter it by her death, like Simon, it was tragic and sad but he was probably going to disappear into the backstory after anyway....
